About The Plant Place & Riverside Farm Market
The Plant Place & Riverside Farm Market is a garden center in Middletown, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 10 Wyoming Ave, Middletown, PA 17057, which places it among the local businesses of Middletown that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Middletown, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Pennsylvania, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach The Plant Place & Riverside Farm Market at (717) 669-6619; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 24 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Middletown is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Middletown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time, stopped by to hopefully pick up a housewarming gift. Didn’t realize the hours and literally had the door to the business SLAMMED in our face with the “closed” sign. The older woman with blond/gray hair (the door slammer) could have instead told us nicely that she was closing at 5 and we could have moved along with no issue. Oh, she came back outside and glared at us as we drove off. Won’t go here again 👎

Cash only but there is an ATM with a fee on the transactions. Not all the produce is fresh some of it is for flipping prices. This is not a farm stand. I did get some berry plants from here and they are thriving after 2 years. I also would stay away from the bushes and trees as they are terribly trimmed cuttings and grafts (I worked in a high end nursery.) Hours need to be updated by the owners. Inside is very small so try to go during the week in the morning. Weekends are crowded.

Small selection of affordable house plants. I believe this shop is cash only! There are plenty of different succulents, including aloe. Cute string of pearls, string of turtles. They have a great selection of landscaping plants and outdoor potted plants. Cheap produce, cheeses, eggs, and corn! If you're looking for fall entryway decor, they have pumpkins!!

We just went to their grand opening and everything turned out beautiful! The plant selection was beyond expectation, everything was clean and organized, the staff was beyond helpful and so welcoming! They even kept my kiddo engaged while we shopped! They had a great selection of homemade baked and canned goods. We will definitely be going back
